Latest News: A number of old gnarled and straight trunked ancient olive trees HAVE JUST ARRIVED. These are the best I have ever seen and will make an amazing addition to any garden. If you would like some pics, please let me know. Gnarled trunk 3mtrs tall spectacular crown. Superb ocre coloured ancient trunk 2.8mtrs £1500, smaller but impressive gnarled trunk 2.5mtrs tall £795, smaller trees from £150...... AND MORE. None of these measurements inc. container height.

I have a number of small very healthy fasicularia bicolour, the most southerly growing of the bromeliads hardy to around -6C. These are also called the 'firewheelplant' They are reasonably rare and easy to grow. They can be lodged in trunks like trachycarpus to give a very jungley effect. There is a picture of my specimen plant in Gallery..'More' last picture. These are £10 each plus *delivery.

Just a little advice about tree ferns (Dicksonia antarctica) . These are normally fine outside in a sheltered spot during winter with protection (NOT BUBBLEWRAP). However some of you prefer to put them away in greenhouses or tunnels for extra protection. This is ok, but please remember that they WILL require some watering, although limited during the winter, otherwise they will dry out and possibly die.

NEW STOCK ARRIVING FEBRUARY and onwards

Some exciting new plants will be added to stock during the 2010 spring and will be availble from mid February. A range of Yuccas hardy to -15C , some large trachycarpus fortunei and wagnerianus at very competitive prices also smaller martianus and takil. Agave striata (60cm diameter) and chamaerops humilis cerifera (blue) These should be here by 10th Feb.

There will also be a selection of ginger lilies. Some new Himalayan Blue bamboo will arrive shortly.

We will continue to order throughout the season and can source, photograph and price any plant to your door.
